BENDECIDO is operated by BENDECIDOPR LLC in Puerto Rico. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information when you visit bendecido.shop, shop with us online or in our store, contact us, subscribe to our communications, or use Bendecido AI.
1. Information we collect
The information involved depends on how you interact with us:
- Contact and account information: your name, email address, phone number, and information needed to manage your customer account.
- Order information: products and sizes purchased, order and transaction records, shipping and billing addresses, delivery information, and exchange or support requests. Payment information is handled through our checkout and payment providers. Do not send payment card details through email, Instagram, or our chat.
- Communications: messages and details you choose to share by email, Instagram, or Bendecido AI, and your marketing preferences. We may also collect contact details you provide in our physical store.
- Shopping preferences: sizes, budgets, products of interest, and other preferences you voluntarily share when asking for help.
- Device and activity information: IP address, browser and device information, approximate location derived from technical information, cookie identifiers, and interactions with our website, products, and marketing.
We receive information directly from you, automatically through our website and connected technologies, and from the service providers that support our store.
2. How we use information
We use information to process and fulfill orders; arrange shipping, pickup, and exchanges; provide customer support and product or size guidance; operate customer accounts; personalize product recommendations; communicate about purchases; send marketing consistent with your choices and applicable law; measure and improve our store and advertising; prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
3. Providers and disclosures
Personal information may be processed by providers supporting store hosting and administration, payments, shipping, communications, analytics, advertising, sizing assistance, and AI customer support. These include Shopify, Meta/Facebook and Instagram, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Omnisend, OpenAI, and connected shipping and sizing providers, depending on their authorized access and the services involved. USPS receives information necessary to deliver shipments.
Access by BENDECIDO personnel is limited to authorized administration of the store. This does not prevent our connected providers from processing information within their authorized services. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, legal claims, or threats to safety and security.
4. Shopify and advertising
Shopify hosts our store and processes information when you browse and purchase. Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled. It uses information from interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify to support services such as personalization, security, analytics, and advertising. Information may be processed by Shopify and other providers outside your country.
We do not buy, sell, or rent customer contact lists. However, disclosures of identifiers, browsing activity, and shopping information through advertising services may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under some privacy laws. These terms are broader than selling a contact list for money.
Learn about Shopify’s practices in its Consumer Privacy Policy. You can manage certain uses of your information by Shopify through its privacy portal. This portal concerns Shopify’s processing; contact us for requests concerning BENDECIDO.
Visit Your privacy choices for available advertising-related opt-out controls. If a control is unavailable for your browser or location, contact support@bendecido.shop for help with your request.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our store and connected providers use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions such as the cart, account access, and security, and for analytics, personalization, and advertising. The website may also store interface preferences in your browser. These technologies may involve Shopify and connected marketing providers such as Meta and Mailchimp.
Use the cookie banner to accept, decline, or manage non-essential cookies. You can reopen Cookie preferences to change your selection. Required cookies support essential store functions. If these controls do not open in your browser, contact support@bendecido.shop for assistance.
Your browser settings can restrict or delete cookies, although some store functions may be affected. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily stop all server-side sharing. You may contact us about applicable advertising opt-out rights and use the Shopify privacy portal for Shopify-specific choices.
6. Email, Instagram, and SMS
We primarily communicate through email and Instagram. If you subscribe to marketing emails, you can unsubscribe using the link in those messages or contact support@bendecido.shop. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary communications about an order or service request.
We do not currently operate an SMS marketing program. Providing a phone number for an order is not, by itself, consent to receive promotional texts. If we introduce SMS marketing, we will provide the relevant information and consent choices before enrollment.
When you contact us through Instagram, Meta also processes your information under its own policies. Avoid sending sensitive information through social media.
7. Bendecido AI
Bendecido AI helps answer shopping questions and provide product, sizing, and policy guidance. When the AI service is available and you send a message, the message, recent conversation context, the product being viewed, and any size or budget preferences provided may be sent to our AI service provider, OpenAI, to generate a response.
We use these conversations to assist you with your shopping questions, not to train our own AI model. The current chat keeps recent conversation context in the page while you use it and requests deletion of provider sessions after a response. This does not guarantee immediate deletion from every provider system or security log. Provider retention and handling can differ from the visible chat.
Do not submit passwords, payment card details, identification documents, or other sensitive information. The chat does not currently access your private order records or change orders; order assistance directs you to your account or our support team. AI recommendations can be incorrect, so confirm product details and availability on the product page or with support.
8. Retention and security
BENDECIDO currently has no fixed automatic deletion schedule for customer, order, or support records. Information held in our systems and connected services may remain until a deletion request is processed, records are reviewed and deleted, or a provider’s applicable retention rules take effect. We may need to retain records for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes, or other legal obligations even after a deletion request.
The current chat implementation has separate session handling described above. We do not promise that all information is erased immediately after an interaction or request. We restrict access to authorized administration and service providers; no online transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information; withdraw consent; object to or restrict processing; or opt out of certain advertising-related uses and disclosures. You may also have rights to use an authorized agent, appeal a decision, or complain to your local data protection authority.
Send requests to support@bendecido.shop. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify the request, and some requests are subject to legal exceptions. We will handle applicable requests within the time required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by law. Do not send government identification documents or payment card numbers in an initial request.
10. International customers
BENDECIDO operates in Puerto Rico and serves customers primarily in Puerto Rico and the United States. International purchases depend on the shipping options available. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where laws may differ from those in your location.
Where European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Swiss data protection law applies, the basis for processing depends on the purpose: fulfilling a purchase or service request, complying with legal obligations, consent where required, or legitimate interests such as operating and protecting our business, subject to your rights. Applicable safeguards must be used for restricted international transfers.
11. Young customers
Our store is intended primarily for teenagers and adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not routinely collect customers’ ages and cannot confirm every visitor’s age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit personal information through the website, newsletter, or Bendecido AI; ask a parent or guardian to contact us instead.
If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact support@bendecido.shop. We will review the request and take appropriate steps to delete the information or otherwise handle it as required by applicable law.
